Transferring calls in the DataPhone softphone system is simple and efficient. Follow these steps to make either a blind transfer or an attended (warm) transfer.
📲 Step 1: Receive the Call #
When a call comes in, you’ll see the caller ID and active call status at the top of your screen (e.g., “110 – Syed Huzaifa”).
You’ll also see a row of icons — click on the transfer icon (→) to start the process.
🔀 Step 2: Choose the Transfer Type #
After clicking the transfer icon, a “Transfer to” window will pop up with a list of users, extensions, and contacts.
You now have two options:
✅ Blind Transfer #
- Click on the name or extension you want to transfer the call to.
- Select “Blind transfer” at the bottom.
- This will immediately send the call to the selected person without notifying them first. You will be disconnected from the call.
🤝 Attended Transfer (Warm Transfer) #
- Click on the name or extension.
- Select “Attended transfer” at the bottom.
- This initiates a conference-style call, allowing you to speak with the receiving person first before transferring the caller. All three of you will be connected until you leave the call.
