The Yealink T5 Series allows you to create quick and efficient conference calls right from your desk phone. This guide walks you through how to initiate and manage a 3-way call (2 participants + yourself).
✅ What You’ll Need: #
- A Yealink T5 Series phone connected to your network
- Two phone numbers (internal or external) you want to conference
🛠️ Steps to Initiate a Conference Call #
A. Call the First Participant #
- Pick up the handset or press the Speaker button.
- Dial the number of the first person you want to talk to.
- Wait until they answer.
B. Add the Second Participant #
- Press the Conference soft key (usually labeled Conference or Conf).
- The first participant will be placed on hold automatically.
- Dial the second number or look in your directory for recent calls or Contacts > Select it.
- Once the second person answers, press Conference again to join all parties.
✅ You’re now in a 3-way call! #
🔄 Additional Options During a Conference #
- More (2 dots ●●)➡️ Split: Press the Split soft key to separate the calls. Each participant will be placed on hold.
- Hold: Places the whole conference on hold.
- End Call: Ends the conference for all parties if you’re the host.
- Mute Yourself on the Call: You can also mute yourself during the call by pressing the mute button. This won’t affect the other participants.
🔒 Notes & Limitations #
- The built-in Yealink conference feature supports 3-way calling only. For more than 3 participants, consider using a dedicated Conference Center.
- All participants must be reachable via the phone system.
📌 Troubleshooting Tips #
- No Conference Key? → Ensure your firmware is up to date.
- Can’t hear all participants? → Check network stability.
- Second call fails to connect? → Make sure you the third party is reachable on a regular call.
