This guide will walk you through the steps to add new contacts and mark favorite contacts in the Dataphone Softphone app available on the Google Play Store.
🔹 Adding Contacts #
- Open the App
Launch the Dataphone Softphone app on your Android device. - Go to Contacts
Tap the Contacts tab at the bottom of the screen. - Add New Contact
- Tap the “+” icon (usually located in the top-right corner).
- Fill in the contact’s Name and Phone Number.
- You can optionally add an Email or Notes.
- Tap Save to add the contact.
⭐ Marking Contacts as Favorites #
- Open Contacts Tab
Navigate to the Contacts section in the app. - Choose a Contact
Tap on the contact you’d like to favorite. - Mark as Favorite
- Tap the Star icon at the top-right corner of the contact’s profile.
- The star will turn yellow, indicating the contact has been added to your favorites.
🔄 Syncing Contacts (Optional) #
If your existing phone contacts aren’t showing up:
- Grant Permissions
Make sure the Dataphone app has permission to access your phone’s contacts:
Settings > Apps > Dataphone > Permissions > Contacts - Add Manually
If syncing isn’t successful, use the manual steps above to add contacts directly into the app.
