# Polycom – Enable Web Server

 

If you've upgraded the firmware or performed a factory reset on a Polycom phone, the web server may be disabled by default. Follow the steps below to re-enable it:

### Steps to Enable the Web Server:

1. On the phone, press the **Home** icon.
2. Navigate to **Settings > Advanced**.
3. Enter the administrator password.
   *Default password: **456***
4. Go to **Administration Settings > Web Server Configuration**.
5. You will see options for **Web Server** and **Web Config Mode**:
   - Set **Web Server** to **Enabled**.
   - Set **Web Config Mode** to your preferred option:
     - **HTTP Only**
     - **HTTPS Only** (Recommended) ✅
     - **HTTP/HTTPS**
   - Tap the **Back** button to return.
   - Select **Save Config** to save the settings.

### Note:

If prompted to update the administrator password:

- Enter **456** as the *Old Password*.
- Enter **1234** as the *New Password*.
- Confirm the *New Password* by entering **1234** again.
