# 🔄 Panasonic KX-TGP500 — Factory Reset & Web Access

You can reset the Panasonic KX-TGP500 either **using the handset buttons** or **via the web interface**.

### 📴 Method 1: Factory Reset Using the Handset

1. **Power On**
   Make sure both the cordless handset and the TGP500 base station are powered on.
2. **Press and Hold Keys**
   On the handset, press and hold **1 + 5 + 9 + ✱** at the same time.
3. **Wait for Beep**
   Keep holding until you hear a **beep** and the handset powers off.
4. **Power Cycle the Base**
   Unplug the power cord from the base station for **10–20 seconds**, then plug it back in.
5. **Reinsert Handset Batteries**
   Remove and reinsert the handset batteries.

✅ The phone will power back on, and the factory reset will be complete.

### 🌐 Method 2: Factory Reset via Web Interface

1. Open a browser and enter the **base station’s IP address**.
2. Log in with:
   - **Username:** `admin`
   - **Password:** `adminpass` (default)
3. Go to **Maintenance → Reset to Defaults**.
4. Select **Reset to Factory Defaults**.

### ⚙️ Enabling the Web Interface

If the web interface is disabled, enable it directly from the base station:

1. Press **Menu** on the base unit.
2. Go to **IP Service → Network Setting → Embedded Web**.
3. Toggle to **ON**.
4. Select **Save**.

### 🔎 Finding the Base Station IP Address

1. Press **Menu** on the base unit.
2. Navigate to **IP Service → Network Setting → IP Address**.
3. Note the IP address displayed.
4. Enter this IP into your web browser to access the interface.
